About us
We are a family company, ran by Bill and Chris Dye, covering the whole of
the North East and into Cumbria. We pride ourselves on the quality of our
customer service. All work is carried out by ourselves – we are not an
agent. When booking us it will be one of us who will be present and provide
the services. Any additional help we require is done by family or close
friends who have been trained to our high standards. This helps ensure you
receive the personal touch often not possible with larger companies. You
will find us very passionate about the work we do and services offered and
this will be evident throughout your booking and at during event.
For your own confidence and satisfaction all bookings are made and confirmed
using correct paperwork. As professionals we confirm everything in writing
for your own records. We never forget that it is your event or your special
day and will assist wherever possible.
All our equipment used for both entertainments and photography is of
professional grade, fully PAT tested (Portable Appliance Testing) and
regularly updated. We also have PLI (Public Liability Insurance), which is a
requirement for a lot of venues and can provide these together with our
Method Statement and Risk Assessment to any venue which requires proof.
Chris is also an active member of the National Association of DJs (NADJ), an
organisation which strives to improve standards throughout the industry.

Disco
We don’t just turn up, pile our kit on a table, connect some speakers, a few
lights and away we go. Instead we use professional
grade stands with lighting bars, position speakers using professional grade
stands and secure the lighting on the overhead lighting bar – safety and
appearance are taken very seriously with PP Entertainments. We will also
discuss at length what your requirements are, whether over the phone or
meeting with yourself in person. All this together with a professional
entertainer makes for a great entertainment package, whether it be a
wedding, corporate, or any other event.
Many customers do not like ear piercing volumes and loads of lights flying about the room, whereas others do require louder volumes. We make sure the correct equipment is used to suit your needs.
Karaoke can be added to our disco. We use professional karaoke machines and
microphones. If required (for an additional cost) we can also provide
projection karaoke, where the words are projected onto a large screen for
everyone to join in and sing along.
Race Night
A great fundraiser or just an enjoyable fun evening. Place your bets, take
your seat and cheer for your Horse, Trotter or even Racing Pig to cross the

Children’s Parties
We unintentionally ‘stumbled upon’ Children’s Parties when we organised a
birthday party for Chris’s son. He wanted us to do a party for him with the
disco, we did and got many enquiries following the party. We never
advertised children’s parties to begin with but the bookings kept coming in
following recommendations from delighted parents. Our children’s party
packages differ according to your preferences and the child’s age. We do
stick to a disco based formats but have many extras which will make your
child’s party a success.
PP Photography
Photography has been a lifetime hobby for us, attending many courses, and have now turned this hobby into a successful part of our business. It was following requests from friends and family to photograph their weddings we introduced our photography services into the business. We gained great feedback from this but had a lot of customers asking us to provide Photography and Entertainments for their wedding in a combined package. Thus we brought out our special wedding package. All the equipment we use is of a professional grade mainly from Canon and Kodak. We do have our own photo processing machine so we do not need to order prints from a third party.
We have also provided photography services at many
presentation awards, where using our photo processing machine are able to
provide proud parents with a photo of their child the same night as the
presentation.
We can combine our photography services with our projection services and
entertainments.
Areas We Cover
We cover all of the North East of
England and Cumbria, including the counties of Northumberland, County
Durham, Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear, Teeside, and Cleveland. We have also
travelled further afield and are willing to do so should you require this.
The North East boasts many
fantastic venues and we have performed in many various venues including
Castles, Stately Homes, Hotels, Inns, Masonic Halls, Golf and Sports Clubs,
Pubs, Working Men’s and Social Clubs, Art Halls etc.
